Kiosk Unveiling for Memorial Day Weekend, 2021

The Roslyn Historical Cemeteries Kiosk nearing it’s completion in January, 2021

After much eager anticipation, the Roslyn Historical Cemeteries Kiosk and updated entrance structure will be nearing it’s final reveal Memorial Day 2021! With the concept of this structure and interpretive kiosk first being envisioned back in 2018, the development of both the entrance structure and online kiosk database has been in progress both on land and online for the past three years.

While the entrance structure begins to receive its finishing touches, the interpretive kiosk and its online database is just getting started. Families and loves ones are encouraged to explore, learn, and contribute to the kiosk’s online database through the Roslyn Historical Cemeteries website. The Roslyn Cemetery Committee is eagerly accepting photos, stories, and general information regarding loved ones interred in one of the Roslyn Historical Cemeteries. With them, the Roslyn Cemetery Committee is working to bring together not only the abundant history of Roslyn and its residents, but also connect the families that make up the diverse and vibrant cemetery community.

The interactive kiosk is a unique touch screen experience where users can interact with the Roslyn Historical Cemeteries database and explore the history of the cemetery as well as the individuals that are interred. The database is a growing collection of profiles for each individual interred in the cemetery. In each profile, history as well as photos are provided for the buried individual. Slowly, along with the help of the families of the interred, the Roslyn Cemetery Committee is working to add photos, stories, and personalization to each cemetery profile. The goal is to not only account for those that are a part of the Roslyn cemetery community, but to also honor the individuals that are buried in the Roslyn Cemetery.
