What We Do

Welcome to the Roslyn Cemetery. We are the Roslyn Cemetery Legacy Association. This organization was formed to provide Education, Preservation and Sustainability.

Education is one of the most important goals of the Roslyn Cemetery Legacy Association.  Preserving the history of those interred in our cemeteries, while sharing that rich information is critical.  We work in partnership with Upper Kittitas County School Districts, Central Washington University, and those interested in researching and promoting the historic and cultural importance of the Roslyn Cemeteries.

Preservation by the Roslyn Cemetery Legacy Association centers on protecting historic landscapes, conserving culturally significant monuments, and maintaining the integrity of one of the most diverse cemetery complexes in the United States. Through restoration, careful land management, and digitizing family stories, artifacts and photographs, our stewardship ensures these cemeteries remain a lasting record of the town’s multicultural mining heritage.

The cemetery complex in Roslyn, which consists of 27 historic cemeteries side by side and includes many immigrant and lodge communities, incorporates sustainability methods that unite environmental conservation, historic preservation, and community-driven care.
