In 2017 Frank Brozovich, Honorary Consul to the Republic of Croatia at Seattle, Washington, appointed Beverly Prkacin Read as Project Manager to build a monument in tribute to the Croatian coal miners of Roslyn, Ronald and Cle Elum, Washington.  The monument was designed by Architect Ivo Gregov.  The Croatian Memorial Monument was dedicated May 26, 2018.

On October 2, 2023 we celebrated the 5-year anniversary.  Beverly Prkacin Read and Maria Adams, President of the Roslyn, Ronald, Cle Elum Heritage Club collaborated with others to celebrate the anniversary and to honor two outstanding leaders in the community.  Our guest speakers, Pjer Šimunović, Ambassador for the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia at Washington, D.C. and Renee Pea, Consul General at Los Angeles, presented award certificates to Frank Brozovich and Richard M. Watts.
